Coconut Chair

Coconut Chair

Inspired by the coconut shell, the Coconut Chair was designed by George Nelson in 1955 and consists of fiberglass shell reinforced with upholstery. Nelson's shapes were strongly stimulated by the art of the 1950's and promoted a new, very casual form of sitting.
