Plywood Elephant

Plywood Elephant

The Plywood Elephant was an early design by Ray & Charles Eames that featured their signature method of bending plywood for furniture. The tight angles and compound curves required a complex fabrication method and ultimately, the Elephant never went into production. The two prototypes were displayed at the New York Museum of Modern Art from 1945-46.
